More Compass Roundtables

This month, the Boston Public Library will begin a series of Compass Roundtables designed to offer continuing conversation about the library’s strategic plan. There are eight guiding principles in the library’s BPL Compass plan (, and the first two that will be discussed are Sustainable Organization and Children & Teens.

The Boston Public Library’s Chief Financial Officer, Sean P. Nelson, will lead the Sustainable Organization roundtables which will include a FY13 budget overview and budget planning timeline. The dates and times for these discussions are:

  • Wednesday, January 25, Central Library in Copley Square,
    700 Boylston Street, Boston Room, 6:30 – 7:30pm
  • Thursday, January 26, Jamaica Plain Branch,
    12 Sedgwick Street, 6:30 – 7:30pm

The Boston Public Library’s new Youth Services Coordinator, Jessi Snow, will lead the Children & Teens roundtable, which is scheduled afterschool so that young people can attend. The discussion will focus on the future of youth services. The date and time for the Children & Teens roundtable is:

  • Friday, March 9, Central Library in Copley Square,
    700 Boylston Street, Teen Room, 3:00 – 4:00pm
