Boston Public Library ESL
(English as a Second Language) Programs
The
Boston Public Library provides "ESL Conversation
Group" sessions at various times and in various
locations. The schedule of Conversation Group times and locations is updated regularly.
The
Dudley Branch of the Boston Public Library houses
the Dudley
Literacy Center
(617-442-6186), which is open Tuesdays and
Wednesdays, 10am to 6p.m., and Thursdays, 12pm to
8p.m. The Dudley Literacy Center offers Reading
Discussion Groups, Writing Process Groups, Computer
Literacy Skills classes, and Introductions to the
Internet as well as a collection of books,
audiotapes, and videotapes to serve the adult
literacy community.
The
Central Library and some neighborhood branches also
have collections of literacy materials which can be
taken out of the library. These materials include
books, audiotapes, and videotapes, and can be found
in the Circulating/Take
Home Collection
Catalog.

Worldwide, the largest nonprofit volunteer adult literacy
