Summer Institute for K-12 Educators
July 9-13, 2012 from 9:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Co-taught at the Norman B. Leventhal Map Center at Boston Public Library, National Archives at Boston (Waltham), and Bridgewater State University.
Explore our nation’s voting history, discover how our system of representation has evolved, investigate the path & process of re-districting, and plan to teach the 2012 election. Guest speakers include Governor Michael Dukakis, Rep. Michael Moran, and Prof. Jed Shugarman of Harvard Law School.

The afternoon will include hands-on activities for children and tours of the new exhibition, America Votes by Curator Ronald Grim at 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm.
