Peak: A View

Long known for its snow-capped peaks, Kashmir is located in the northernmost region of Indian subcontinent. It sits in the Himalayan mountain range, seen in the distance in this poster. Tourism is a primary source of income; Kashmir’s main attractions, besides numerous gardens and lakes, are the temples, shrines and monasteries. Kashmir also boasts one of the highest elevation golf courses in the world.

Known as the “Switzerland of India,” the beautiful and dramatic landscape of Kashmir inspired Mughal Emperor Jahangir to declare four centuries ago, “If there is paradise on this earth: This is it, this is it, this is it.”
