The Boston Public Library’s motto engraved over the front door “Free to All” is made possible by the support from the city of Boston and generous donors.  The library serves the people of Boston, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and beyond.  This repository of knowledge was founded to advance learning for all.

Your generosity will insure we can preserve the cultural heritage of Boston and historical artifacts significant to the founding of our nation, provide excellent programs and maintain an outstanding library collection.

You can make a gift now to the Boston Public Library Foundation a private not profit founded to support the mission of the Boston Public Library.  Your gifts will be used to support the community outreach of the library, the preservation of the facilities and the collections, programs and strategic initiatives of the library and its branches located in neighborhoods throughout the city.  Click the logo above to make a gift now.
