A PIN, or personal identification number, in combination with your library card number allows you to:

  • Look up your record from home, work, or at a terminal in the Library.
  • Renew Boston Public Library material from home, work, or at a terminal in the Library.
  • Place requests for material from home, or at a terminal in the Library.

If you have a Boston Public Library card, but have not yet gotten a PIN number you can fill out this form to choose one. If the PIN you requested is not active in 48 hours, please contact us by phone (617-536-5400) or by email (info@bpl.org).
