On Friday, November 9, “Quiet Please” was NOT an option! More than 500 people joined The Young Professionals of the BPL for the fall cocktail party in the beautiful McKim building which raised over $100,000. It was an evening of engaging socializing and dancing. Funds raised will benefit the youth and education programs of the Boston Public Library. Heartfelt thanks to our fabulous Paint The Town REaD Committee co-chairs, Alec Stern, Cindy Brown, Jeannette Hsu, John Judge, Grayson Moore, and all of our committee members! We also extend our warmest thanks to our all sponsors, without whom this event could not have been possible. Our sincerest thanks to everyone!
2007 Gala
Hundreds of Young Professionals and their guests enjoyed dessert and dancing following the Boston Public Library Foundation’s black tie Gala this past spring, celebrating inside the National Historic Landmark McKim Building and outside under the stars in the Library’s breathtaking courtyard. The YPs raised over $100,000 to benefit the BPL’s technological initiatives. The Gala was preceded by a sold out Young Professionals kick-off cocktail party on the Taj’s roof deck. Many thanks to our fabulous Gala Committee co-chairs, Dave Grossman and Mary Jo Sisk, and all of our committee members!
