Have you ever noticed that on just about every article of clothing, towel, t-shirt, or textile you’ll find a tag with an RN number printed on it? This is called a “registered identification number.” This number is issued by the Federal Trade Commission to US businesses engaged in the manufacture, importing, distribution, or sale of textile, wool, or fur products.
If you have a number and want to identify the business associated with that number, try running a Registered Number Search on the FTC website. You can also search by Company Name, State, Zip Code or Product Line.
