Makin’ a Splash with potential customers

Reaching your target customers can be pretty difficult, especially when you have a niche product.  But sometimes the right packaging and product placement can help you better connect with consumers.

Enter: Auckland-based ad agency DraftFCB:


When tasked with marketing Sony’s waterproof MP3 player to New Zealanders, DraftFCB decided to showcase the product’s special properties by packaging it in water.  The firm took it one step further by selling the MP3 player by pools in vending machines.
