kirsteinPlease join us for the Central Library renovation and public roundtable in the Commonwealth Salon on October 6 at 6.  As the Central Library Renovation continues, the library will be holding a series of public roundtables to talk about the exciting new services becoming available for users. The Lower Level of the Johnson building, which is being renovated, houses the Kirstein Business Library, with business resources and programs for job-seekers, entrepreneurs and small-business start-ups. With a new design, the space will be expanded to become the Kirstein Business Library & Innovation Center. Join library staff and City of Boston representatives, innovators and residents to hear how the new space will encourage innovation, creation, learning, and experimentation in a collision of art, technology and business. Share your ideas on how to program this space in a way that allows for maximum community involvement.

In addition, hear about the process by which the library is selecting a partner for the retail space on the corner of Boylston and Dartmouth Streets. What would you like to see in that space? What would you not like to see in that space? This space will be an integral part of the library, with transparent flow between spaces, rather than a business that is separate from the rest of the library.
