MassChallenge is the world’s largest startup accelerator and competition, the first to support high-impact, early-stage entrepreneurs with no strings attached. Come learn how it selects over 100 startups to participate in a four month accelerator program which provides access to world-class mentorship, training, office space, funding, marketing, media and other resources.

Prom Spending Up in 2013

Prom spending continues to outpace inflation and grew for the second straight year, hitting an average of $1,139 per family in 2013, results from a new survey released today by Visa Inc. show. That represents an increase of 5% from the $1,078 that American families who have a teenager attending a prom spent on all aspects of the dance in 2012. Read more »

You know you like to talk about money. Come to the Teen Room this Friday, April 26 at 3 for a fun and interactive workshop that will explore managing your resources. We’ll discuss “Budget Busters” and how we can avoid over spending, how to create a spending plan, and more! Pizza will be provided. Brought to you by the Boston Public Library and American Consumer Credit Counseling; a nonprofit financial education and counseling agency. This program is part of the Money Smart Week series.
