Super Bowl and Chicken Wings

According to the National Chicken Council’s 2014 Wing Report, Americans will eat 1.25 billion chicken wings on Super Bowl Sunday.  This is an increase of about 20 million wings from last year. Enjoy the game and be careful with the Buffalo sauce. Read more »

Super Bowl Fans Will Spend $12.3 Billion This Sunday

The Super Bowl will draw an audience of  181 million when the Denver Broncos play the Seattle Seahawks  Sunday, February 2.  According to the National Retail Federation’s Super Bowl spending survey  those fans will spend an average $68.27 on food, athletic wear, decorations and televisions. Total spending is expected to reach $12.3 billion. Read more »

Ford Debuts Solar Car at Consumer Electronics Show

Ford’s new solar car, a concept vehicle, is a version of the C-Max Energi plug-in car already sold by Ford.

Like the C-Max Energi, the new C-Max Solar Energi can go 21 miles on electricity between charges. It then can switch over and run on gasoline until it is recharged.

The concept car’s roof is covered with a solar cells provided by SunPower Corp.

Leventhal Center’s collection of over 200,000 historical maps and 5,000 atlases.  View the collection by location, subject, date, publisher, author, or projection.
