Required Reading
- Number the Stars by L. Lowry
- North by Night by Katherine Ayers
- Tangerine by Edward Bloor
- Under the Blood-Red Sun by Graham Salisbury
All students are required to read all four books and will be responsible for the material in September. Students should keep chapter summaries in a journal.
6th Grade Supply List
- paper back dictionary
- 5 two subject notebooks (Mead is the best notebook to buy)
- 1 pkg of red pens for correction
- 1 pkg of blue or black erasable pens (no gel pens allowed!) (No white out allowed!)
- 1 pkg of pencils - Papermate Sharpwriter strongly suggested (no sharpening needed)
- 1 highlighter
- colored pencils
- zippered pencil case (no hard pencil boxes or plastic containers)
- scissors
- 3 packages of loose leaf paper to be kept at home and brought in as needed
- 4 sturdy pocket folders
- 1 twelve inch ruler with cm and mm
- 5 to 6 "book socks" or brown paper bags to cover text books (Text books are to be covered throughout the whole school year)
- a stapler and staples to be used at home
- 2 pkg of index cards (100 3x5 or 4x6)
- 1 pencil sharpener
- 1 two inch 3 ring binder
- 1 pkg of 5 dividers with pockets
- Students will be required to purchase reading books throughout the year.
