    Please note: The Central Library in Copley Square will be closed Sunday, July 12 - Tuesday, July 14, for electrical work related to the Central Library Renovation. During this time, please visit one of our 24 branch locations for library services, or access our electronic resources such as e-books, streaming media, and digital magazines. The Central Library will reopen on Wednesday, July 15, at 9 a.m.
  • Boston Public Library locations offer free summer programs for children and teens. This year’s children's theme is “Every Hero Has a Story,” and events include story times, crafts, and programs hosted by Historic New England, New England Aquarium, and the Museum of Science. Events for teens include interactive music and comic book workshops.
  • This summer the Bibliocycle - the library's bike and book trailer outreach program - is making stops around Boston to deliver library services on the go, including book checkout, library card sign up, and story times.
