Links to websites of Massachusetts nonprofit organizations and foundations. AGM maintains more resources on grantwriting, fundraising, & nonprofit management at their library, which is open to the public and located one block from the Kirstein Business Branch.

Charity Navigator
A source of information about nonprofits. The site bills itself as "your guide to intelligent giving". Nonprofits are rated and detailed information about each is given.

Chronicle of Philanthropy
Browse or search articles about charitable giving from recent issues of the Chronicle of Philanthropy.
Includes a database of grant listings from the past 2 years: provides the grant maker, recipient, and the amount of each grant.

The Foundation Center
This site has a Foundation Finder that is searchable by foundation name. You may also search for and view a foundation's IRS 990-PFs. Other useful features are common grant applications, prospect worksheets and a proposal writing short course.

Guidestar
Search for charities and nonprofits throughout the U.S.   Guidestar provides brief descriptions and basic financial information for over 650,000 organizations plus electronic access to IRS Form 990 for many organizations (detailing revenues, expenses, and executive salaries).
