Amy Ryan Named President of the BPL The Board of Trustees of the Boston Public Library has named Amy Ryan as the next President of the Boston Public Library.

Exhibits and Programs:
	Local History Lecture Wednesday, Oct. 8, 6:30 p.m. Mezzanine Conf Rm, Copley Square Anatole Sykley will discuss World War I Memorials.

	Author Talk: David Liss Thursday, Oct. 16, 6 p.m. Orientation Room, Copley Square David Liss will speak about his latest historical novel, The Whiskey Rebels, set in America in the years after the Revolution.

	Behind the Words on Exhibit Through December 31 Wiggin Gallery, Copley Square Drawn from the BPL's collection of photographic portraits by Yousuf Karsh, the exhibit focuses on the photographer’s work with men and women of letters.

	Movingline Exhibit on Display Through November 30 McKim Building, Copley Square movingline, Drawings by Channing is a series of drawings now on display in the Popular Reading Room.
