BPL Stories

“Library” and “Debbie” (the children’s librarian in the Faneuil Library) were among the first words my baby would say. Now two years old, she still gets excited when I tell her we are going to the library. She loves the storytimes, singalongs, crafts hours and playgroups. I learnt a lot about how to read to her, how to find age-appropriate books and how to promote her interest in reading. However, the libraries are more than just places to read books. They create a supportive and caring community of parents, grandparents, nannies and other caregivers. Thank you, librarians in the Allston-Honan, Brighton and Faneuil libraries. You make a difference in lives of many families in the neighborhood.
