Jessica is a collection development librarian, specializing in children’s and teen collections, at the Central Library in Copley Square and enjoys working with librarians who are passionate about books and reading. She is currently developing teen genre collections, which includes collecting more science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and urban fiction titles for all the branches. “Libraries are still the first place where many young children encounter books and learn about the wealth of information in the world.” In her spare time, Jessica reads realistic young adult fiction and enjoys running.

Amber is a reference librarian at the Kirstein Business Library at the Central Library in Copley Square and enjoys teaching others how to tackle their research questions. She recently completed a program geared at helping library users conduct research and locate potential jobs and clients using LinkedIn. Amber believes good librarians and good libraries empower users by providing detailed instruction and careful guidance. In her free time, Amber enjoys reading fiction and nonfiction books and painting.
Maggie is a children’s librarian in the Rey Room at the Central Library in Copley Square and enjoys getting to meet and work with library users from all over the city. A current project she is working on is weeding the picture book section to make room for new books. “I am excited to be able to make visiting the library a great experience for visitors, new or returning, and let them know all that we offer.” Maggie is partial to P.G. Wodehouse novels and Dune, and enjoys podcasts and the television show Cougar Town in her free time.
Euronna is a senior floater librarian assistant and says there is “nothing better” than seeing the look of excitement on a patron’s face when they pick up a much anticipated book, or when she learns a job seeker who uses the library’s computers frequently has gained employment. She is busy at work constructing a craft night for adult patrons at the Mattapan Branch, and she loves to read Do-It-Yourself books and romance novels. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching football.
Deanna is a branch floater librarian and loves the variety of work she does at the BPL branches. She notes libraries are more important now than ever: “As technology becomes more integrated in daily life, we play an important role in bridging the gap between those who are fortunate enough to have resources to keep up with the pace of technology, and those who are not as fortunate.” Her favorite authors are James Patterson and John Irving and she enjoys outdoor sports.
