Teen-Made, Library Displayed!

by Laura

The Grove Hall Branch Teen Room is so excited to be displaying beautiful, mural-sized self-portraits made by Boston teens!

These 4×8 foot black and white paintings were created by teens who worked on the Mayor’s Mural Crew, a group of teens who work with professional painters and mural makers to create public art all over the city. Teen participants are employed by the Boston Youth Fund – just one more reason to make sure you sign up for Hopeline every year! If you think the Mayor’s Mural Crew might be a good fit for you or someone you know, you can find more information about the program right here. And please stop by the Teen Room at Grove Hall to check out the work of these wonderful artists!
