As you and everyone by now knows, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 opened this weekend.

(I am, of course, a HUGE fan of both the books and the movies. Yes, I did attend the midnight showing. And just going to interject with my personal opinion: the movie was excellent and follows the book much more closely than the previous film adaptations so far. Go, watch it. Enjoy it. Thank me later.)

The movie earned 125.1 million dollars in this first weekend. Amazing! Of course, there are a ton of fun Potter-related stories out there, so for any fans of the magical world, I”ve compiled some fun Rowling and movie-related links.

J.K. Rowling’s Official site – The site’s main page is laid out as if you are looking at the top of her desk. It’s one of the more original websites I have seen.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie site – Also, a very cool site. Muggle Hub has tons of free downloads, there are of clips, games, music, news and you can create an Undesireable No. 1 poster.

MuggleNet – The biggest Harry Potter fansite out there. Chat with other fans, read reviews, participate in polls, and generally look around an awesome Potter site.

The Leaky Cauldron – Another Potter fansite filled with interviews from the cast, cellphone apps, and knitting patterns! (Because knitting patterns are so interesting to read.)

Scholastic’s Harry Potter – (that’s the publisher) Not nearly as intersting as the others, but it does have some time-wasting games if that’s what you’re into.

Harry Potter FanFiction – Read stories created by other Potter fans; write your own stories based on the Potter characters. (If you do write your own, we’d love to read it, too!)

Harry Potter’s Page – Yet another fansite. (Personally, I like the other two better, but this is good, too.)

There are tons more sites out there, but these should help quell that Harry Potter itch for a while at least.

The BPL does not endorse any of these sites, the books or the movies. It’s just some fun Harry Potter-related stuff.
