Thank You for your interest in supporting the Boston Public Library.
The BPL’s motto engraved over the front door “Free to All” is made possible by the support from the City of Boston and generous donors like you.
The mission of the Boston Public Library Foundation is to enhance the public visibility of and to raise public and private funds for the revitalization of the Boston Public Library. The BPLF is currently in a reorganization phase and all funds raised during this period will be transferred directly to the Library for ongoing program support.
Your donation helps to underwrite a wide range of library services, including educational and skill-building programs for Children and Teens, both at the Central Library and the 24 branches; Special Exhibitions that showcase the Boston Public Library’s distinctive special collections; and lectures and concerts that engage and inspire audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Your generosity also helps to offer new programs in the recently renovated spaces at the Central Library. Programs that can be life changing.
Your support underwrites so many public programs, free to all, that simply would not be possible without private funding.
To donate by mail, please mail your check made payable to “Boston Public Library Foundation” to: Boston Public Library Foundation; 700 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02116.
