Welcome to Teen Read Week. This year’s theme is “Seek the Unknown @ your library”.

This week the Central Library Teen Room will have a UFO craft on Wednesday at 3pm. We will be making UFO’s out of blank cds and embellishments. Maybe we can even get them to hang.

Our full week event is the survey of your favorite top three books that comes from the list of books that YALSA (Young Adult Library Service Association) is going to vote for this year’s YALSA Top Ten.

The survey can be found at: http://goo.gl/k17BOF.  Anyone can take the survey. Both Teens and Teens-at-heart. All branches are welcome!

I can see my top three choices but we want to know what you want to see on the final Top Ten list.

For a list of activities and events happening at other branches, see the October 4, 2013  blog entry.

“To boldly go where no one has gone before” spoken by Capt. Kathryn Janeway, Star Trek Voyager. Helps to sum up this year’s theme: Seek the Unknown. Read a new genre of book, read about a faraway land, maybe you will make a great discovery. Whatever you do, enjoy reading!

We hope you enjoy Teen Read Week as much as Teen Librarians do!
