It covers thousands of diseases, conditions, and wellness topics through easy-to-read summaries, and also provides information on medications, medical tests, and how to find a doctor or healthcare provider.

PubMed is a free database maintained by the National Library of Medicine that provides access to more than 39 million citations and abstracts from biomedical and life sciences journals worldwide. PubMed links to abstracts for all indexed articles, and many full-text articles are available for free through PubMed Central. BPL cardholders can request articles that are not available for free through our interlibrary loan service.
