Boston Public Library Fund
Private philanthropy plays a pivotal role in transforming the Boston Public Library’s aspirations into results, and in catapulting us to new heights of innovation and achievement. The Boston Public Library Fund provides vital resources that help us reach out to underserved audiences, fulfill our role as a convener and equalizer, and take calculated risks to expand our outreach and programming. The Boston Public Library Fund gives us the resources we need not just to serve, but also to dream, and to grow.
We welcome your support as we strive to keep the Boston Public Library—and our beloved city—strong and vital.

The Citywide Friends of the Boston Public Library were founded to promote public awareness of the entire Boston Public Library system and its resources, to further appreciation of the value of the Library as a cultural and educational asset, to support and link the activities of the Friends groups at the BPL’s branches, and to encourage volunteers to assist the Library.

The Associates of the Boston Public Library is dedicated to conserving the Boston Public Library’s Special Collections of rare books, manuscripts, prints, photographs, and other items of literary, historic and cultural significance. As an independent nonprofit organization, the Associates makes grants to ensure the continued public access to these irreplaceable treasures by underwriting their conservation, cataloging, digitization, and exhibition.
