Summer Reading for Adults

Summer reading is for everybody, whether you read at the beach or on your commute to work. Fill in a Bingo Card (available at all BPL locations, or by downloading - in English or Español - and printing the card) with what you read, did, or discovered between Friday, June 1, 2018 and Friday, September 7, 2018.  Drop your completed card off by closing time on Friday, September 7 at any BPL location, or post a picture of the card to Instagram or Twitter using the following handles and tags: @bplboston #BostonReads.

Please Note:

  • Only one card per person.
  • Book titles may only be used once per card.
  • For readers ages 18 and older.

Complete all 25 squares to enter a drawing for a pair of VIP Passes to the Boston Book Festival. Blackout cards will also be automatically entered into their location’s bingo drawing.

Complete a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line to enter a drawing for gift cards and BPL swag! One winner per location. What do I read?

Ask your friendly neighborhood librarian for a book recommendation, or try out Shelf-Service —just answer a few questions, and our Reader’s Advisory team will curate a list of book recommendations for you. You can also let the squares guide you to new genres (see booklists below) or try crowd-sourcing your book recommendations using the hashtags #readharder and #weneeddiversebooks on Twitter and Instagram.
