Adams Street Branch Renovation Project
The Adams Street Branch is currently closed for the construction of a new building, with plans to reopen in 2021. The new building will double the size of the previous branch, and will feature an accessible front door on Adams Street, a larger community room, a conference room, study room, music room, and a reading garden. This project is a collaboration between the Boston Public Library and the Public Facilities Department, under the leadership of Mayor Martin J. Walsh, and the architecture firm NADAAA.
